As part of the 3rd international conference through Bangor University's School of Music on the work of 'women in music', Sioned Terry and Iwan Llewelyn-Jones gave a recital based on the works of Grace Williams, Morfydd Owen, Dilys Elwyn Edwards and Rhian Samuel. It was nice to see it getting a very favorable response and it was broadcast over 9 continents! The statement was intended to shed light on some of these hidden pearls and to create awareness of our female composers as a nation. They are now planning to take the songs across as many venues as possible, including Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw - come along!
