2 ½ hours £50 per person
Come along and get creative with artist Rew Wood, by taking part part in a wonderful songbird ceramic workshop.
In this engaging hands-on clay class, you will discover the joy of creating with clay and make your very own stoneware songbird. No prior experience is required, beginners are welcome - Rew will guide you every step of the way.
During the workshop, you will learn how to shape and mould clay, and how to employ various techniques to add texture and detail to your Songbird.
You will also explore the fascinating process of applying under-glazes, which will bring colours to your piece. Your gorgeous stoneware bird will be frost-proof and can be placed in your garden or inside your home.
This class provides a fun and supportive environment for you to unleash your making skills and to enjoy the freedom and the therapeutic nature of working with clay.
Your songbird will be unique to you. Rew will be taking all the Songbirds, created at this workshop, home to her studio to fire and glaze and then they wil be posted back to you, complete and ready to adorn your home.
