Your help towards funding the restoration of the woodland following destruction caused by Storm Darragh in December 2024 would be very much appreciated.
The cost of clearing the fallen trees and restoring the footpaths is much higher than what the charity can afford. As a result a Go Fund Me campaign has has been established to help with the fund raising efforts. Any donation would be gratefully appreciated. Please click here to donate

With spring approaching, and the weather slowly improving, there’s more desire to go out for walks to enjoy the fresh air as nature begins to wake up after the winter.
The fact that the woodland paths remain closed following the destruction caused by storm Darragh back in December last year is a great loss to us all. The paths are extremely popular and we're sure that you are also anxious to see the site cleared and tidied up and the paths re-opened.
As you can surely imagine, clearing the dangerous trees from the woodland’s slopes is a difficult and expensive task, not to mention the repair work needed to the paths to make them safe for walkers.
Unfortunately, the charity hasn’t got the necessary funding to undertake the work. As a result we are organizing a fundraising campaign to try and raise the amount needed for the work, which is in the region of £50,000 - we would be extremely grateful for any contribution towards this monumental task.
We have already been discussing with Gwynedd Council officers, Natural Resources Wales, neighbours and forestry experts, and by working together we hope we can complete the work efficiently and safely.
In the meantime, the coastal path has been diverted over Mynydd Tir y Cwmwd temporarily, and it is also possible to walk to the iron man statue also over the headland. Below is a map of the mountain's trails.
