Winllan restoration

Thanks to emergency funding through the Gwynedd Nature Partnership we have managed to clear the majority of the trees that had fallen as a result of storm Darragh at the beginning of December.

The forestry contractor Gethin Hughes and his team have been busy removing the heavy trees from the slopes during March and the majority of them have now been transported from the site.

Following the clearing work it was possible to assess the damage to the paths and unfortunately  uprooted trees have damaged parts of the paths. The next step will be to repair the paths to enable them to be reopened as soon as possible, and we are pleased to announce that this work has already begun. We will provide an update when a path is re-opened.

We are also in the process of forming a tree replanting program will also follow. More details will follow.
